Kym Wellons is one of three founders of Sanova.co, a life sciences consulting firm specializing in comprehensive regulatory, scientific, and litigation consulting services for regulated tobacco and nicotine products. Kym serves as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for the company. Kym brings a broad range of experience as a lawyer and as a business leader to her work at Sanova.
Kym graduated from Harvard Law School and spent the first decade of her legal career as a litigator primarily defending discrimination, wrongful termination, trade secret, and personal injury/fatality claims. She then transitioned to in-house counsel roles in publicly traded companies in coal mining, paper production, and packaging and plastic dispensing products. She was with Smurfit WestRock for 12 years serving as VP, Associate General Counsel leading the company’s global litigation team. She then moved to Silgan Dispensing as Vice President of Human Resources, Legal and Sustainability architecting the company’s integration activities following a significant acquisition. She made the shift to life sciences consulting in 2023 and serves in dual capacities managing
Sanova’s business and providing consulting services in regulatory strategy, project management, and QMS program support.
